Who wish to make a career in Textile Engineering, he can choose to do higher studies in the following areas - Textile Design, Manufacturing Technology, Management Science, Quality Technology, Textile Science, Apparel Technology, Textile material research. Doing B.Tech in Textile Engineering one should have completed +2 Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and/or Biology. Most engineering colleges in the country select candidates based on written entrance examinations. After completing B.Tech/BE in textile engineering.

Textile engineering graduates find excellent job opportunities in diverse industrial sectors. After engineering once can join as a technical services assistant in a textile plant, sales engineer, quality control trainee in a manufacturing unit/facility, assistant designer in a design studio or in a CAD design lab, stylist (fashion designer) in a showroom or a design studio/CAD lab, product development executive in a showroom/studio or lab, fabric development executive in a plant or lab or showroom. The salary for a fresh textile engineer ranges between Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 20,000 depending on their skills, knowledge.
