LPU conducts NEAT 2009 for admission to engineering programs
LPU conducts NEAT- National Engineering Aptitude, an online test for admission in various engineering programs.
The last date for application is 02 may 2009 and the test will be conducted on 3-10 May 2009.
Lovely Professional University has announced NEAT 2009- National Engineering Aptitude test to be conducted in a span of 8 days from 3rd – 10th May.
Lovely Professional University is one of the chosen few Universities in the country to conduct its entrance test through online mode. The University will intake admission to its- B Tech (Hons),
- B. Tech (Hons)-
- M.Tech and B. Tech (Hons.)-
- MBA program through NEAT 2009 (National Engineering Aptitude Test).
The test will be conducted in online mode, and will be stretched across a span of 8 days (from 3.5.09 to 10.5.09). Test sessions will be conducted twice a day – in morning and afternoon. This has been done to ensure better flexibility for the students. The test will be conducted in 60 cities across the nation.
The syllabus of the test is in accordance with the syllabi of class XI and XII, for Non-Medical & Medical streams. Successful students will be admitted to various streams of Engineering (Honours) program viz. Electronics and Communication, Computer Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Civil Engineering, Biotechnology. The distinct feature of the Hons program is that the program has been designed as per American standards.
Mr. Ashok Mittal, Chancellor-LPU, while stating the objective of NEAT-2009 said, “The test is being conducted for students aspiring for premier program in engineering. The new-age engineering aspirants has the passion to walk the extra mile, and the move is guided to ensure that the meritorious students be identified through this test.”
He also stated that more than 100 awards will be conferred upon the students excelling in NEAT-2009. The bright and brilliant will be offered free study tour to USA/ Europe and Singapore/Malaysia, and one free laptop.
The applications to the test will stand frozen by 2nd May, 2009.
