Plant Engineering
A staff function whose prime responsibility is to ensure that
maintenance techniques are effective, that equipment is designed
and modified to improve maintainability, that ongoing maintenance
technical problems are investigated, and appropriate corrective
and improvement actions are taken. Used interchangeably with
Maintenance Engineering and Reliability Engineering. |
| Design
and implementation of Integrated Maintenance Systems leading
to availability improvements of plant and equipment. The
systems can be tailor-made to suit the individual industry's
equipment and includes related fields like spare parts management
and computerization. Demonstration and implementation of
Condition Monitoring techniques to help the maintenance
function of industries to diagnose machinery problems. |

Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.10+2 / I.Sc. Phy., Chem.
& Math. Min. 50% Marks in each subject. |
