Common Entrance Test ( PU CET) 2008 Exam Dates Notification
Dates for various Entrance Tests for the session 2008-09
It is for the information of the candidates in particular and the public in general
that the Panjab University will hold. Entrance Tests for the session 2008-09 for
the following courses on the date (s) and day(s) mentioned against each:
1. MD/MS 29.01.2008 (Tuesday)
2. Common Entrance Test CET 18.05.2008 (Sunday)
3. OCET 01.06.2008 to 02.06.2008 (Sunday to Monday)
4. M.Phil. /Ph.D. 29.06.2008 (Sunday)
5. PULEET 03.08.2008 (Sunday)
6. B. Ed. (DCS) and B. Ed. (Regular) 06.07.2008 (Sunday)
(Subject to authorization of the U.T. Govt.)
It has also been decided by the Panjab University that 25% weightage will be given
for the qualifying examination (10+2) and 75% for the CET Entrance Test-2008 for
admission to various courses except B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) 5 Year Integrated Course
for which the admission shall be based on 50% marks
obtained each in +2 examination and Entrance Test according to the Officer on
Special Duty (CET), P.U.
Punjab University conducts Common Entrance Test for the
Following Courses:
1. M.B.B.S. at GOVT. MEDICAL COLLEGE, CHANDIGARH (Only
for candidates studying / having studied in 10 + 1 and 10 + 2 as regular students
in the Schools/Colleges recognised by the Chandigarh Administration and situated
in the U.T. Chandigarh.)
2. B.D.S. at DR. HARVANSH SINGH JUDGE INSTITUTE OF DENTAL
SCIENCES, P.U. CHANDIGARH (Subject to approval of the Govt.)
3. B.A.M.S. at SHRI DHANWANTRY AYURVEDIC COLLEGE, CHANDIGARH
(Subject to continuation of affiliation)
4. B.H.M.S. at HOMEOPATHIC MEDICAL COLLEGE, CHANDIGARH
5. B.PHARMA at UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES,
P.U., CHANDIGARH.
6. B.A LL.B. (Hons.) Five Year Integrated course: at UNIVERSITY
INSTITUTE OF LEGAL STUDIES, P.U., CHANDIGARH & PANJAB UNIVERSITY REGIONAL
CENTRE, LUDHIANA And
7. B.Sc. (Hons. School) in Anthropology, Bio-Chemistry, Bio-Physics,
Bio-technology, Botany, Computer Science, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Mathematics
& Computing, Microbiology, Physics, and Zoology in the TEACHING DEPARTMENTS
at the University Campus.
