Karnataka Entrance Test for MBA, MCA on July 8
82 MBA colleges and 67 colleges offering the MCA
Bangalore: For management quota MBA and MCA seat aspirants, Karnataka
Private Postgraduate Colleges' Association has arranged a separate entrance test
(KMAT-2007) in centres across the State on July 8. Students could
look for seats in 82 MBA colleges and 67 colleges offering the MCA programme.
The test, open to students from throughout the country, is mandatory to fill all
management quota seats. Last year, 13,137 candidates appeared for the test, and
around 3,600 students were admitted to various colleges on the basis of the KMAT
ranking. For the association, KMAT-2007 will be the fourth test in three years,
its secretary M. Prakash told presspersons here on Friday.
The sale of applications for the test is already on at all the participating colleges.

or 22116769. The last date to submit the filled-in application forms is June 23.
The entrance test will be held in Bangalore, Bagalkot, Belgaum, Bellary, Bijapur,
Davangere, Gulbarga, Hubli, Mangalore, Mysore, Shimoga, Tumkur and Udupi.
In all, there are about 3000. MBA and 2000 MCA management quota seats on offer
in these colleges.
The State Government and private college managements have shared the MBA and MCA
seats on a 50-50 ration. To fill the government quota seats, the Belgaum-based
VTU will hold a separate entrance test on July 1.
